Hyundai Motor Company Australia has been the naming rights sponsor of A-League soccer since the Australian Soccer Association launched the new competition in 2004 and has actively supported growth of the sport in Australia.
The “Goals for Grassroots” initiative between Hyundai Motor Company Australia and Football Federation Australia (FFA) further supports the growth of “grassroots” soccer in Australia, having donated over $39,000 in the A-league 2008/09 season alone to local soccer clubs around Australia. The donations of up to $5,000 per club have been used to purchase new equipment, laying new turf and football education for coaches and referees.
The Paul Wakeling Motor Group has sponsored various clubs in the Macarthur and Camden districts over the years and are now taking the Hyundai Grassroots program to a higher level of support for the Macarthur District Soccer Football Association, its Clubs and their players.
For every registered player of the MDSFA who purchases a Hyundai Vehicle from Paul Wakeling Hyundai:
That’s a total of $300 per registered player per year. The player receives a cheque upon delivery of the car and the clubs receive a cheque bi-monthly for cars purchased in that time.
Wakeling's Macarthur Soccer Drive is eligible to anyone in the household of the MDSFA registered player purchasing a Hyundai including grandparents.
